Women’s stories have been intentionally defamed throughout history.
What if we were to tell the truth and acknowledge women’s historical contributions?
What if we were to build upon their powerful stories and apply their truths to our present day and to our future? What kind of people would we be? What kind of society would we have?
The Garden of Even invites you to reimagine and recreate the trajectory of our world had women’s stories been told truthfully and from their perspectives.
If this idea fills you with hope and excitement, then you are invited to enter the Garden of Even as a Co-Creator, Cultivator, or Collaborator.
Becoming a Co-creator lets you sponsor an existing artwork. or support the co-commission of an original work for the Garden of Even exhibition. The Garden of Even team will work with you to choose a woman to showcase, select an artist, and facilitate the co-creation of a piece. Through artist talks and other events you can share your story and how the women on display relates to or inspires you.
By joining as a Cultivator you can support the creation of content and outreach for the Garden of Even Exhibition and platform. Your support as a cultivator means new and culturally significant content can be made and shared widely.
As a Collaborator you can be a first mover as this project takes root and unfurls into greatness!
All of the seed funding will be used to pay featured artists, content creators, fund digital design, future events and outreach, as well as web hosting and management fees.
This is a growing exhibition, and community but it’s more than that.
The Garden of Even is a platform for coming into yourself
The works on display, and that we will create together, ask you to consider the parts of yourself that have been defamed, overlooked, understated or even reviled.
Together we will reconsider the stories that have shaped your worldview, the assumptions you’ve based your beliefs about women, yourself, your worth, and the world around you on.
Because I want you to unframe not just broader social narratives about women, but also your personal narrative.
